Overview

Since 1991, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore, has organised the Governmentware seminar annually to raise awareness on the latest IT security threats. This year’s theme, “Beyond Uncertainty: Collaborating for Security”, urges all players in the Infocomm ecosystem to take a forward-thinking stance to share ideas and build synergies in today’s increasingly networked world. With increasing outsourcing and reliance on private sector infrastructure and solutions, collaboration between the public and private sector will be important to ensure a high level of IT security capabilities. Governmentware 2009 will be highlighting the essentials for collaborative efforts to address IT security challenges in today’s economy as our IT assets become more and more integral to our work and lives.

The conference programme aims to encourage participants to embrace IT security as a key component in solving critical problems.
