Closed-Door Tracks

Closed-Door Government Briefing

In keeping with the Governmentware tradition, Governmentware 2008 will once again incorporate the well-received public sector-only closed-door government briefing to deliver topics and updates tailored specifically for the public sector audience. In this track, participants will get to learn about new public sector initiatives and policies pertaining to IT security adoption and products derived from our R&D efforts.

Participants can look forward to updates on security issues related to critical infrastructure protection, cyber forensics, cyber investigation tools and systems, IT for Security (Homeland Security) and cryptography amongst others. Participants will get to learn new strategies and intelligence through presentation of real case-studies and live demonstrations.

This track will also cover the latest happenings and initiatives in the civil service such as Secure Collaboration Framework for e-Government, key findings on IT security evaluations and discussion on new policy directions. The focus of the closed-door government briefing will be to showcase how critical problems that warrant attention can be solved by adopting the paradigm of “Positive Security”.

Law Enforcement Track

This is a by-invitation only workshop, open strictly to representatives from local law enforcement agencies. The key activity is a discussion on how best to coordinate amongst the various diverse groups and to forge new initiatives. Expert speakers will be invited to share intelligence on the latest cyber attacks as well as the various initiatives adopted by various countries, equipping participants with the knowledge to plan our own key initiatives.
