Boost DevSecOps Arsenal with Crowdsourced Vulnerability Discovery Programmes
The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) has launched a new Vulnerability Rewards Programme (VRP). The VRP augments the existing Government Bug Bounty Programme (GBBP) and Vulnerability Disclosure Programme (VDP) by allowing highly skilled 'white hat' hackers to test critical ICT systems necessary for continuous delivery of essential services in our digital economy. Together, the three crowdsourced vulnerability discovery programmes bolster GovTech's cybersecurity capabilities to safeguard the government's Infocomm Technology and Smart Systems (ICT&SS) on top of penetration testing and 24/7 monitoring conducted by the Government, given the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.
Mr Chong Rong Hwa, Director, Advanced Cybersecurity Capabilities, Cyber Security Group, Government Technology Agency, will share how these crowdsourced vulnerability discovery programmes leverage the larger cybersecurity community's efforts to discover residual weaknesses and play a critical role in securing government systems and data.
