Mark is a passionate security advocate who built Google Cloud’s Security practice in Asia. With over 22 years of security domain expertise across financial, government, telecommunications and education industries, he helps organizations adopt new technologies such as zero trust and cloud computing with a security first approach. Recently Mark has been working with regulators and industry to understand how technology can work to protect users and enterprises from a cyber hygiene, enterprise resilience and user protection perspective. Before joining Google Cloud in 2017, he worked at IBM where he led the APAC Security Tiger Team, and developed the IBM Enterprise Security Maturity Workshop. Mark has a Bachelor's Degree in Network Computing with an emphasis on Network Applications from Monash University in Australia. And has also co-authored a patent in providing mobile application specific threat metrics.
