Vivek Gullapalli

Vivek joined Check Point Software Technologies as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Asia Pacific in 2023, where he will be acting as a trusted advisor to the world’s top global brands in their cyber transformation to protect their organizations with ever evolving cyber threat landscape. In his role he will be engaging with C-Level executives in planning and executing of cyber strategies/roadmap to address existing and new threats.

He has a strong record in transforming Cyber Security in global financial organisations like Citibank, Bank of Montreal and Singlife with Aviva. He brings more than two decades of experience in roles spanning multiple geographies, complex regulatory landscape, Merger & Acquisitions (M&A), consulting, manufacturing and critical information infrastructure (CII).
Prior to joining Check Point Software, he was Group CISO of Singlife with Aviva, where he led the cyber-security transformation from strategy to execution, including building best in class cyber talent and a Cyber Fusion Centre with threat intelligence and cyber resilience as the key focus. This won the prestigious Project Management Institute Singapore Chapter 8th Project of the Year (2021-2022) Award where Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister, Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance & Second Minister for National Development presented the award presented the award to Singlife.

Vivek holds a Master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology. He is passionate about cybersecurity and building leadership talent in cybersecurity, he also teaches at Singapore Management University (SMU) under the Technology in Financial Immersion Program (TFIP) on cyber security to nurture the local talents in this space.
