GovWare Highlights

The Global Digital Health Partnership (GDHP), in collaboration with Singapore’s national HealthTech agency, Synapxe, launched the Guidance for Medical Device Cybersecurity (GMDC) framework at the GovWare Healthcare Forum 2024, with representatives from the Hospital Authority Hong Kong and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The GovWare FSI Forum featured expert-led sessions from industry leaders on evolving cyber threats, mitigation strategies, and the transformative journey of organisations within the Financial Services sectors. Past attendees include Gerry Chng (Singapore Computer Society), David Ng (OCBC Bank), Cheri Lim (Temasek International), Laura Lees (Citibank), Johnathan Pineda (GSIS, Philippines), and Phoram Mehta (PayPal).

The invitation-only CXO Plenary gathered top leaders from the public and private sectors, sparking bold conversations about the future of cybersecurity. The event featured a compelling keynote by GovTech Chief Executive Goh Wei Boon and an expert panel on AI, including Sandra Joyce of Google Cloud and Stanley Tsang of the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, moderated by Dr Kang Meng Chow of Nanyang Technological University.

The annual Government Closed Door Session for Singapore's civil and public service provided a deep dive into the nation's cybersecurity blueprint. Attendees gained invaluable insights from esteemed speakers representing the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT), Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS), GovTech, and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

At GovWare 2024, Cyber Youth Singapore (CYS) and SANS Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance accessibility to cybersecurity training and certifications for financially disadvantaged youths. The MOU signing was witnessed by Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information.

CLOUDSEC @GovWare 2024, our partner event hosted by Trend Micro in collaboration with GovWare, brought together experts like Justiin Ang from the GovTech and Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, Rachel Jin from Trend Micro, Colin Low from NCS, and Bryce Bolland from Amazon Web Services to explore the theme of “Securing AI Transformation”. 

At GovWare 2024, Cyber Secure Singapore 2024 brought ISC2 Singapore Chapter members and invited guests together for a deep dive into the future of cybersecurity under the theme ‘Navigating the Cyber Frontier: Strategies for the Future’.

AISec @GovWare 2025 made its debut as a dedicated programme for leaders navigating the convergence of AI, trust, and resilience. Co-presented by Trend Micro and GovWare, the inaugural edition united distinguished leaders from across government and industry, including Lt Gen Michelle McGuinness (National Office of Cyber Security, Australia)  Dr Francisco Castillo (Maynilad Water Services), Dr Deb Goswami (NVIDIA), and Angelica Sarmiento (Department of Finance, Republic of The Philippines).

Government leaders toured the exhibition floor at GovWare, engaging directly with exhibitors to explore the latest cybersecurity innovations and capabilities. The ministerial tour offered participating companies a valuable opportunity to showcase cutting-edge solutions and exchange insights.

GovWare’s Innovation Showcase highlighted cybersecurity’s evolving role in critical sectors like Healthcare, FSI, and Energy. Innovators such as iAPPS Health Group, OCBC, and Schneider Electric demonstrated cutting-edge solutions driving security and resilience, including AI-powered health systems and digital banking roadmaps. These showcases connected leaders with transformative solutions shaping a secure digital future.

GovWare’s dedicated showcases highlighted the most innovative and pioneering cybersecurity solutions from international, regional, and special interest group pavilions. Attendees explored cutting-edge technologies from cybersecurity hubs like the Czech Republic, Finland, France and Singapore, alongside emerging solutions from cybersecurity startups and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs). These showcases fostered collaboration, connecting innovators and pioneers driving the future of cybersecurity, while providing valuable opportunities to expand networks and accelerate careers.

The GovWare Tech Talk was a standout on the exhibition floor, featuring expert sessions from top cybersecurity professionals offering invaluable insights into the latest industry trends. The GovWare Showdown brought a lighter touch to the programme with a live trivia game where cyber defenders and attendees competed for fun prizes.

The GovWare Happy Hour ignited dynamic connections, blending energising conversations with industry leaders and casual networking among peers. These vibrant social events fostered partnerships and friendships that extended far beyond the conference.

The GovWare Passport quest was a hit, offering attendees a fun and interactive way to explore the exhibition to claim exciting prizes or enter the Daily Prize Draw. With a quick survey, participants scored one of our exclusive, limited-edition GovWare tees from the Survey & Swag activity.
