Earthquake in the Land of Network Detection and Response
23 Oct 2025
Level 3, Room GW3 | Sands Expo and Convention Centre
Endpoint Security / Mobile Security / Network Security
It was not a single 8+ Richter event, but rumble that started a few years ago and continues to inevitably rearrange the NDR landscape. With each shake, a new technology and acronym pops up. AI looms large above it all.
In this session, we map the new technologies impacting the NDR landscape. Change is chaotic and trends may be in conflict with each other, or counterintuitive. So it is here: As an example, AI is emerging, but as reported by Gartner, use of traditional IDS is on rise. To bring clarity, we’ll present real-world use cases on how different technologies relate to each other.
We’ll start with the Cybersecurity Mesh and Security Data Fabric architectures, introducing concepts and use cases. From there, journey continues to roles of AI in network security (there are several). By now, you’ve also learned what MCP and OCSF have to do with all this. From here, we’ll segue to ponder the re-emergence of IDS and conclude by tying it all up into a neat whole. Until the next shake.
