Shaping a Resilient Quantum Era

22 Oct 2025
Level 3, Room GW1 | Sands Expo and Convention Centre
Keynote
The advancement of quantum computing presents both opportunities and threats. Experts predict that within the next 5 to 15 years, quantum computers will be capable of breaking the cryptographic foundations that safeguard today’s digital trust. Migrating to quantum-safe solutions is a complex, multi-year process impacting all organizations, extending beyond mere algorithm replacement. In this keynote, Alejandro R.-P. Montblanch, PhD Cantab., Quantum Defence Lead at HSBC, will offer insights into the quantum threat and the current landscape of quantum-safe migration. He will discuss how architectural principles, emerging technologies, and internal processes can support a robust transition. Looking ahead, Dr. Montblanch will outline a strategic vision for building long-term resilience through innovation and enhanced digital trusts, as well as the challenges we must confront which highlight the need for global cooperation.
