Lesson Learned, Future Secured: Defending Critical Infrastructure in the Age of AI

21 Oct 2025
Level 3, Room GW3 | Sands Expo and Convention Centre
Geopolitics and the Weaponisation of Critical Infrastructure
For decades, geopolitical tensions have leveraged weaponized exploits and security vulnerabilities to target critical infrastructure, shifting the front lines of warfare from physical to digital. New attack surfaces continue to emerge, especially for adversaries who have successfully infiltrated once. With much of the world’s critical infrastructure residing in the private sector, the burden of protection falls on it while the threat landscape expands rapidly, fueled by AI-powered threats, interconnectivity, supply chain dependencies, and lack of patching.

In this session, we’ll study some of the most notorious malware attacks in history, analyze the exploits they used, and explore how similar tactics are being retooled and accelerated with AI. We will outline practical strategies and tactics per case to help organizations anticipate and respond to new threats and better equip them to combat future iterations of then attacks and avoid becoming targets of geopolitical adversaries.
