Rightsizing the Problem: How Adversaries Are Using AI Today

The onset of AI adoption has raised the question of how cyber threat actors are leveraging this technology in their own operations. This talk will explore the latest examples of adversary usage of AI, and compare this to other recent examples of sophisticated threat activity. First, the presentation will look at the global threat landscape and some of the notable recent campaigns and trends from state-sponsored and criminal cyber actors. Next, it will explore examples of threat actors leveraging AI tools in their operations, examining how this is influencing the overall landscape. By comparing these examples, this talk seeks to properly position for decision makers the threat of AI usage today against other cyber threat activity.
