SCAMS: Solving the Unsolvable
21 Oct 2025
Level 3, Room GW1 | Sands Expo and Convention Centre
Keynote
Scams have become a pervasive threat in the digital age, affecting everyone from global leaders to everyday citizens. Countries with advanced identity and authentication systems are increasingly being targeted, yet a coordinated, cross-industry response remains limited. The challenge is compounded by siloed efforts across sectors and a lack of effective tools to protect and empower consumers. Traditional fraud prevention method, especially in the financial ecosystem, are struggling to keep pace with the evolving nature of these threats.
This session will explore emerging strategies and collaborative approaches being taken across industries to detect, prevent, and mitigate scams. Drawing on examples such as how to improve upstream threat sharing and citizen awareness whilst highlighting broader trends and best practices for building more resilient defences against this growing threat.
