GovWare 2022 hit record participation with over 10,000 attendees from across 65 countries!

Taking on the theme “Fostering a Safe and Sustainable Cyberspace Amidst Disruption”, the community reunited in person over invigorating dialogues, and discoveries of ideas and technologies, while building new strategies and partnerships to take on the challenges we face in our digital future.

A part of Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW), GovWare attendees also had access to select SICW events, such as the Opening Ceremony, SICW Sessions, OT Conversation and Women in Cyber.

The world today is more digitalised than before. This increased digital interconnectedness - while helping us to ride through the pandemic - has also broadened our exposure to greater cybersecurity risks. With the disruption wrought by Covid-19 over the past three years impacting lives and livelihoods, it is apt that the theme for GovWare 2022 is “Fostering a Safe and Sustainable Cyberspace Amidst Disruption”.

A closed-door session exclusively for Singapore civil and public service officers, the briefing facilitated discussion on Singapore's cyber threat landscape, useful insights from cybersecurity operations and a glimpse into cutting-edge capabilities and technologies.

GovWare FSI Forum

Derived and designed by CISOs, this by-invite-only session focused on the transformational journey organisations in critical infrastructure, particularly FSIs, are undertaking, and the multifaceted hurdles that are surfacing. The inaugural session at GovWare this year addressed “Cyber threat and mitigation realities: Evolution and disruption in organisational landscapes and the challenge to Tech C-suites”.

CLOUDSEC @GovWare 2022

Themed ‘FUTURE IT’, CLOUDSEC @GovWare 2022 gathered thoughts from business leaders to discuss the upcoming strategic technology trends in cloud, security, and digital transformation. The sessions kickstarted discussions and provided a glance at what the FUTURE holds for CIOs, IT leaders and their organisations in the next breakthrough.

CLOUDSEC Challenge #XDRedition

The CLOUDSEC Challenge #XDRedition presented a fun and engaging way of learning XDR - a game changer for threat detection and response! The competition kicked off live at GovWare 2022 as the challengers practiced real-world XDR skills with a guided hands-on lab and accelerated their investigation and threat hunting abilities to combat attacks efficiently.

Cyber Secure Singapore 2022

(ISC)² Singapore Chapter launched its inaugural flagship annual conference Cyber Secure Singapore at GovWare 2022 in celebration of its 10th anniversary. This year’s theme was "Cyber Security After the Pandemic“.

ACIOA Cybersecurity Hackathon 2022 Award Ceremony

The inaugural ACIOA Cybersecurity Hackathon inspired innovation and building tomorrow’s cybersecurity solutions through collaborative efforts across ASEAN’s cybersecurity community and stakeholders. This exciting design thinking event was proudly launched by the ASEAN Chief Information Officer Association’s Cybersecurity Chapter and Image Engine, and powered by Thinkspace. The winners were named at the Awards Ceremony held at GovWare 2022.

As the region’s leading pure-play cybersecurity showcase, the GovWare Exhibition show floor is your gateway to the latest cybersecurity technologies, and an excellent platform for participating countries to exhibit a collective of their countries’ talents and capabilities.

Tech Talk

This year, Tech Talk took on the themes: “Conflicts and Weaponisation – New Realities for Cyber”, and “Flipping the Cyber Playbook: Evolution in the Cyber Ecosystem”. The series of presentations and panels, delivered by select industry experts and seasoned practitioners, unlocked important discussions on global cybersecurity affairs and strategies.

GovWare-ICE71 Pitch Pit

In a showdown format, GovWare-ICE71 Pitch Pit gathered trailblazing start-ups to validate their Cybersecurity Risk Assessment models to a panel of cybersecurity veterans. Co-organised by Image Engine and ICE71, the competition took place in the GovWare Exhibition Hall, open to all GovWare and SICW attendees.

Singapore Cyber Conquest

Open to students from Institutes of Higher Learning in Singapore and ASEAN, Singapore Cyber Conquest returned this year, featuring Splunk’s popular Boss of the SOC (BOTS), a blue-team, capture-the-flag-esque (CTF) challenge loved by more than 12,000 enterprises and 50,000 participants over the last 7 years. Splunk is the proud sponsor of the Singapore Cyber Conquest 2022.
