Burkey has been involved in the open source community around infrastructure and networking for over 15 years working in a variety of roles. He currently serving as CTO of APJC at Isovalent (by Cisco) helping customers adopt and solve with networking, security, and runtime challenges with Isovalent - creators of Cilium and Tetragon. Having tenures previously in VMware's Network Security team and building out the APJC region at HashiCorp, Burkey has been fortunate in being exposed to the rise of software defined networking, the adoption of infrastructure as code, and now the reimagining of it all in the eBPF era powered by Isovalent and Cisco.
