David Ng
David is Managing Director and Head of Group Technology Information Security at OCBC Bank, where he oversees the OCBC Group’s cyber and IT security. David has over 30 years of experience in risk management, information technology, and cybersecurity. He is responsible to formulate the Bank’s cybersecurity strategy, develop and implement cyber defence roadmap capabilities to address emerging cyber risks and threats.
Today, David chairs the Association of Banks in Singapore Standing Committee on Cybersecurity (ABS-SCCS) and takes a leading role in collaborating with other industry partners and key government agencies such as the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA). David is also a member of AiSP Advisory Council chaired by Chief Executive of CSA.
David played an instrumental role in obtaining a SOC 2 Type II Certification (in 2025) and Cyber Trust | Advocate (in 2023) for OCBC’s Cybersecurity Operations and Critical Information Infrastructure (CII), respectively. This represents the cyber and IT security controls for OCBC can be mapped to ISO/IEC 27001 – an international standard to manage information security. In 2021, David was conferred the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Fellow Award in Technology where he demonstrated mastery of a profession and exemplify thought leadership and commitment to industry development.
Between 2020 and 2023, David presented cybersecurity to the financial executive leaders attending the Asian Financial Leaders Programme cordially organised by Singapore Management University and sponsored by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
