Dr. Alexander Schellong heads the Cybersecurity and Cyber education activities of Schwarz Digits, the fifth division of Schwarz Group, Europe’s largest retailer with a combined revenue of 170 bn Euro in 2024. Schwarz digits supports all internal technology activities of Schwarz Group in 32 countries (US/EU) and offers sovereign digital services such as a European Cloud. Alexander worked over 20 years in technology and over 10 years in Cybersecurity around the world for the U.S. government, German government, European Commission, and industry. He has authored over 60 books and articles on a variety of topics at the intersection of technology, society, and organizations. In 2019, Alexander founded the non-profit initiative CYBERWOMEN to support networking among and growth of female information security experts across Germany. He studied and taught at Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main, Harvard Kennedy School, The University of Tokyo and Stanford University.
