Jim Fitzsimmons is a principal in Control Risks’ Digital Risks practice, based in Singapore. In his 8 years in Control Risks, over 20 years in Asia and over 25 years in cybersecurity, he has worked closely on the intersection of technology, public policy and risk management for regional and global clients.
Jim’s work on digital sovereignty regulation began with supporting clients operating in China manage compliance with its Cybersecurity Law in 2017. Since then, he has worked with global firms on issues diverse as critical infrastructure investment and data security, regional personal information compliance strategies, incident response planning for critical infrastructure, operational resilience for critical infrastructure and cross-border data transfer regulatory risk mitigation.
