Sam Liyanage
Sam Liyanage is a seasoned Data Privacy, Governance, and Regulatory Affairs professional with over a decade of experience spanning diverse industry sectors, including healthcare and health-tech, across the Asia-Pacific region. At SAM Holdings, a SGX-listed entity, he oversees end-to-end privacy and security compliance, sustainability reporting, internal audit, and regulatory engagement for the Group’s licensed operations, including Singapore’s rare Proton Beam Therapy facility, an advanced cancer treatment that precisely targets tumours while protecting surrounding healthy tissues.
Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Business and Cyber Security from University College Dublin, Ireland, and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) with a focus on International Commercial Law from Birmingham University, UK. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Data Protection from Singapore Management University, along with multiple advanced certificates in data governance and operational excellence.
