The agentic age has arrived. Artificial intelligence systems now reason, plan, and act at unprecedented speed, with the first end-to-end cyber campaigns executed by autonomous agents already observed in the field. As the pace accelerates on all fronts, a critical question emerges not simply what machines are capable of, but who has the authority to determine what they are permitted to do.
This keynote contends that the future of autonomous agents will be shaped by human decision-makers. Leaders must transform into AI-era strategists who are proficient in the technologies they employ yet anchored in ethical judgment and critical thinking that no machine can replicate. Success will depend on the ability to outmanoeuvre adversaries on terms that we define.
In an age defined by machine speed, the question is no longer whether humans remain in control, but whether humans remain in command. Agents may reason, plan, and act autonomously, but only humans can set intent, exercise judgment, and bear accountability for the outcome. At agentic velocity, it is command, not control, that gives humans the decisive advantage.
