Sustainability at GovWare

New page title image

GovWare is committed to delivering a more sustainable event experience for our exhibitors, partners, and community. As part of this commitment, GovWare is participating in the Better Stands programme, a global initiative designed to reduce waste from exhibition stand construction and encourage the use of reusable materials.

Why this matters

This initiative supports our broader sustainability goals as part of Clarion Events, which is working towards reducing emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2045.

As part of the Clarion Events sustainability strategy, we aim to:

  • Reduce environmental impact across our events
  • Minimise waste generated from exhibition builds
  • Collaborate with exhibitors and partners to support sustainable solutions
  • Encourage responsible sourcing of materials and production methods
  • Support industry-wide initiatives aligned with Net Zero Carbon Events goals

Disposable stands represent a significant contributor to exhibition waste. Increasing the adoption of reusable stand structures can reduce environmental impact while improving efficiency in stand construction and dismantling.

If you have opted to purchase a raw space stand, you can download the Sustainability Guidance PDF we’ve prepared to help you get a better idea of which contractor best suits your needs.

Our shared commitment

Sustainability is a collective effort. By working together with exhibitors, contractors, and partners, GovWare aims to support more responsible event practices and contribute to industry-wide progress towards lower carbon events.
We appreciate your support in helping us reduce waste and build a more sustainable future for the events community.
